4H Projects, School Scheduling, and Corn.

Eric. The greatest gift the internet ever granted.

Yes world, it is true. What is true? Well...something. -insert mind-blowing fact here-

Now, that that is all said..er, written. I will move on.

TODAY.

Today was filled with many things that kept me quite busy. 4H non-livestock judging is tomorrow and, as usual, I have nothing completely done. This year I'm taking a bunch of pictures, a Grant Wood-inspired sculpture, and some lovely peach chutney. I have yet to finish all of my goal sheets, and simply decided not to finish my electrical project which I never even started in the first place.

I also am happy to report that my school schedule is all fixed. I was sure that it wouldn't be possible, but my senior year is going to rock. I'm taking 7 college classes (for free!) from a local community college because, frankly, I've taken every other academic class offered at my school. So I am taking Pre-Calc, Bioscience, Physics, Intro. to Psychology, Composition I, Public Speaking, and Statistics. In addition to those classes, I will be taking Government, Advanced Guitar, and Independent Spanish. I'm taking a Talented and Gifted Class as well, where I will get high school credit to tackle a giant project. I'm probably going to work on writing and designing curriculum for children's programs at the Wilder Memorial Museum. Things have been going excellently, and it's amazing to see how much the museum has improved since I first started there just over a year ago. However, that is a subject for another day, another blog post.

ANYWAY. Moving onto the subject of corn. -insert better transition here-

Today, I picked 8 five gallon buckets of corn alongside my siblings. This corn was picked in exchange for custom made, at-cost, photo mats for my 4H projects. Then we had nothing but corn for supper. I only had one piece, but somehow I managed to leave exactly one row untouched by the time I got all the way around the cob. It was fairly epic. Now, all that I need is to find some floss.

This concludes my posting for today, for I must go finish my matting and writeups and such, and somehow sleep before tomorrow. It will be a long day.

(On a side note: Eric, how did you think my opening went?)
